MS4 Funding Strategies for Stormwater Solutions - Virtual - 5/6/21

Are you searching for effective funding strategies to meet your township's stormwater management goals and obligations under your Ms4 permit? Scheduled for launch in Summer 2021, a new Center for Water Quality Excellence (CWQE) will provide assistance to help townships as well as agricultural and other landowners with stormwater responsibilities to navigate the universe of grant and loan program assistance. The Center’s goal is to support the determination of the best technical and financing solutions that can successfully blend and leverage public and private assistance resources. Led by Land Logics Group with funding provided by PENNVEST, the CWQE will be piloted in Lancaster and York counties over the next two years and will be comprised of three components:

  • 1) a virtual Support Hub that intuitively responds to users’ queries and allows for one-on-one requests for support and BMP knowledgebase library;
  • 2) a Center storefront for in-person consultations and group workshops; and
  • 3) a mobile Water Quality Excellence workshop to take storefront services on the road.

A suite of outreach efforts will be coordinated with local groups and regional/statewide organizations and agencies working collaboratively to accelerate the adoption of sustainable stormwater practices.
Ultimately, the Center will help streamline the search for funding, find answers to questions about financing applications, and help get stormwater BMPs on the ground faster and cost effectively.
