On-Demand Webinar - State Police and Municipal Truck Fleets

Township roadmasters and road crew members are encouraged to participate in this one-hour webinar where troopers from the Pa. State Police Motor Carrier Enforcement Office will discuss a number of important requirements that all public and private employers must use to ensure safe and legal commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operations. (CMVs are those having a gross vehicle weight rating greater than 10,001 pounds.)

Throughout Pennsylvania, more than 700 specially trained state and local law enforcement officers inspect CMVs and their drivers for compliance with state and federal motor carrier safety regulations. Inspections are conducted at interstate weigh stations and along many of the state’s frequently traveled rural roads.

Topics will include cargo securement, weight restrictions, hours of service, logbooks, driver’s license information, and other matters pertaining to municipal CMV operations.
