On-Demand Webinar - Truck Restrictions on Local Roads

Truck traffic on local roads is a difficult balancing act for many municipalities in Pennsylvania, which are granted authority to restrict truck traffic on local roads. While trucks need access to pick up and deliver the goods that are necessary for everyday life and the economy, many local roads are not suitable for truck travel. In the past, local restrictions required traffic studies that must be performed by a registered professional engineer, but recent changes to state law through Act 31 of 2018 add more complications because they opened local roads to more potential truck traffic and altered the study requirements.

This webinar will:

  • Review current state laws and regulations on truck access and restrictions
  • Discuss the traffic study requirements and options for restricting truck traffic
  • Examine real local truck traffic issues, problems, and solutions

Learn about how your municipality can best position itself to address these issues.
