PennDOT 2020 Municipal Road Maintenance and Safety Symposium - 05/03/2020 - Dauphin County

PennDOT’s 2020 Municipal Road Maintenance and Safety Symposium

Every municipal budget across the commonwealth shares the same big line item: road maintenance and safety. It’s the road crew’s job to keep roads smooth, free from potholes, without snow during winter storms, and draining properly when the spring rain falls. Municipalities and their crews are also responsible for new construction, signage, work zone safety, asset management, and even personnel management.

How can you be sure you are doing the best possible job with limited resources? By attending PennDOT’s 2020 Municipal Road Maintenance and Safety Symposium, where you will hear from road maintenance experts, transportation safety professionals, and municipal officials who have a deep understanding of standard road maintenance and safety practices, as well as an eye on new products, services, and technologies.

During the three - day symposium, you will have access to 10 road-related workshops, and the “Roadmasters Roundtable” Q&A, plus unlimited entry into the largest municipal exhibit show in Pennsylvania. All in one place!

Workshops that will be offered:

  • E-Scooters, Mopeds, and E-Bikes, Oh My! Micromobility Rising
  • FB Dense Graded Cold Applications and Their Benefits
  • Temporary Traffic Control Planning and Deployment
  • Making Your Community Safer for Pedestrians
  • ABCs of Liquid Fuels Tax Funds
  • PennDOT's Traffic Safety & Operations Funding Programs
  • PennTIME - What is it, Why do I Need it?
  • Posting Local Roads for Infrastructure Preservation & Safety
  • Trenchless Pipe Rehabilitation  - What Are My Options?

Since the symposium is held in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors’ Annual Educational Conference & Exhibit Show, you’ll also have access to the state’s largest municipal exhibit show. While attending the symposium, you can visit with nearly 300 vendors, ask questions about new equipment, network with other road crews from around the state, learn from their experiences, and share your own.

If you only attend one training program in 2020, THIS SHOULD BE THE ONE!

Register today, as registration is limited to 150 people.
