Is your township wondering how to spend the funding that it received through the American Rescue Plan Act? Do you need direction on where and how to best spend it and maximize the value? This session will walk you through options for leveraging your funding into lasting, impactful facilities projects that will become valuable township assets.

The speakers will discuss the benefits of planning, financing, building or renovating township facilities during today’s unique economic conditions by taking advantage stimulus funds, grants, low interest rates and other initiatives.  Panelists include Martin Kimmel, President of Kimmel Bogrette Architecture + Site, Lou Verdelli, a finance professional who specializes in securing funds for municipal projects, and Elizabeth M. Beckett, CRE, President of Real Estate Strategies, Inc. and an expert in the real estate market and grant writer. Together, they will provide a complete planning resource for you and your township on using ARPA and other funds for facilities improvements.

Learning objectives:

  1. Explore financing and budgeting options from finance experts, including a better understanding of how to deploy the new American Rescue Plan Act funding.
  2. Become educated on assessing the opportunities available with improvements to your township’s facilities and lands from architecture and real estate experts.
  3. Understand availability of potential grants and funding sources that may be available to your township for your facilities projects from grant writing experts.

             *PSATS Member = Registrant has paid current annual membership dues to PSATS or one of its professional associations (e.g., Township Emergency Management Association, Township Engineers Association, Township Planners Association, Township Solicitors Association, or the Pa. Assoc. of Zoning Officials).

Refunds for cancelling a webinar at any time will be subject to a $10 processing fee. 
For classes, (in-person and virtual), refunds for a cancellation sent to us between 10 and 2 business days before the class you are registered for will be subject to a $20 processing fee. Those who cancel within two business days of the class you are registered for, or do not attend, forfeit the full registration fee which, if unpaid, will be invoiced.
