Webinar - Real Life Police Disciplinary Issues - 3/4/20

Police disciplinary issues in 2020 involve a variety of factors and technology that did not exist a few years ago. This session will discuss police discipline in the age of body cameras and social media and will cover practical strategies for conducting investigations as well as meeting legal requirements imposed by the Police Tenure Act and key court cases such as Loudermill Garrity and Weingarten. The impact that a record of dishonesty can have on a police officer's usefulness as a witness in court and the role of off-duty misconduct will also be covered.
