Webinar - The Anatomy of Limiting Municipal Loss - 3/31/21
Includes a Live Event on 03/31/2021 at 12:00 PM (EDT)
Every public entity, regardless of size or location, is responsible for identifying risks that may cause loss. Many townships, especially smaller ones, often face barriers such as lack of personnel and resources that prevent them from identifying and controlling risk. In this webinar you will learn how to identify core areas of municipal risk and ways in which you can achieve the most benefit for a minimal investment of time and money.
Examples of topics that will be covered include:
- Proper management of employee background checks (at hiring and on an ongoing basis)
- Implementing robust, but manageable, systems for obtaining certificates of insurance from contractors, vendors and users of township facilities
- Systems for tracking citizen complaints and documenting responses
Patrick Hickey, Risk Management Representative with Astra Insurance Group, will present real world examples of entities that avoided losses by following these procedures….or were stuck with losses that they could have avoided. This webinar will provide you with a better understanding of why these issues matter and how procedures can be implemented without much cost or workload.
Eligible for 1 PMGA Administration point.
